Gunner Ron Geeson

These photographs were sent to me by Roger Geeson who logged on to my web site and recognised his Dad on the photo of B Troop and got in touch. I was amazed when he told me that his Dad (and mum) are still going strong, living in Long Eaton and have just celebrated 70 years married!! Ron was enlisted into the North Staffordshire Regt in 1940, but after training, found himself on his way to 6Bn KSLI. He joined them in Skegness and was trained as a Mechanic/Fitter, and went with Regiment all the way to Germany. I have spoken to him over the 'phone and he has told me many exciting and interesting stories of his War service. I am now looking forward to visiting him in person.
