Gnr Alexander MacDonald

My archive of photographs continues to grow, this photograph of a young Alex MacDonald was sent to me by his Daughter-in-Law Kath, who bought a copy of my book and was amazed to find a photgraph of her father-in-law Alex, right in the middle of the photo gallery.

She got in touch and told me that Alex was Regular soldier from the Isle of Iona, who joined up in 1933, and sent me an early photograph of Alex and his mates.

I was very pleased because up until then although I had a photograph of him it was unamed.
